Alunos da Vida has built it’s own spirit of respect, unity and social inclusion throughout the last three years. An atmosphere of friendship, joy and participation are the key that provides a space to interact in different ways and helps to get to know eachother better. A space for the community to break barriers that we normally have and allow ourself  to explore and enjoy being part of a group. We have created a space where sharing comes before learning. Where we are allowing ourseves to practice  Capoeira, maculele dance, yoga, drama, different techniques of martial arts and find out how our bodies can interact dancing, playing, stretching and combating. Connecting and exploring different ways to expres through movements mosic and art.
This is a space to laugh and have fun with people within our communities!

All levels are  welcome and very often participants with advanced levels are welcome to take the lead of the workshops and share their knowledge with the group.
Participation is free…! But bring fruits so we can keep the healthy meeting at the end. The workshop is not about monay its about community cohesion. Donations and contributions of any amount are welcome and important to keep things going.

A bit of the history of the capoeira at the N.G.:

Since 2003 , Nueva Generacion was in Praxis Capoeira was a project with a bit of funding and it has been an interest of the network of Nueva Generacion  since then.  People started to train with Capoeira Angola Palmares with mestre Axe. After a while with out capoeira, participants from N.G. started to demand training again. Luis, well know in capoeira as Duplo offered to give classes totally free for the community and they where great, then he has to return to Colombia due to the visa expired and since then ,we kept the workshop going on until now. Through these years Nueva Generacion has welcome  workshops from very important figures in the capoeira world such as mestre Carlao from Kabula, mestre Pacheco, mestre Manuel from angoleros do mar, Gilberto on behalf Kabula, and also in events hosting Mestre Cobra Mansa and mestre Joacinho.
